Sarah Singla

Farmer, Agronomist, Global Advocate for Regenerative Agriculture

Sarah Singla is a farmer and agronomic engineer from the Aveyron region of southern France, known for her long-standing commitment to soil health and regenerative farming. She manages her family’s historic farm, which has practised soil-conservation and no-till agriculture since 1980 — one of the earliest such systems in France.

Taking over the farm in 2010, Sarah has advanced practices such as cover cropping, diverse crop rotations, perennial systems, mob grazing, and agroforestry, all rooted in the principle of building living, resilient soils. She combines practical farming with broad international experience gained through her Nuffield Scholarship and her work promoting soil fertility and no-till systems worldwide.

Beyond her own farm, Sarah co-founded the French association Clé de Sol to support the spread of direct seeding and soil-friendly farming. She also co-produced the documentary Bienvenue les Vers de Terre, highlighting biodiversity, erosion, and sustainable water management. In 2024, she was named “International No-Till Legend” for her leadership in advancing regenerative agriculture.
