Jane Mättik

Jane Mättik runs a family farm in Harjumaa, Estonia, who has been focused on cattle farming and crop cultivation since 2009. She has a breeding operations, sells pedigree animals, and provides high-quality meat, all while adhering to environmentally friendly farming principles. Jane believes that healthy soil creates the foundation for healthy animals and, in turn, healthy people, which is why she has adopted regenerative agricultural practices on her farm early on.
Even before regenerative agriculture gained wider recognition in Estonia, Jane was a strong advocate of its principles. Over time, her work has reinforced her conviction that grazing animals play a crucial role in improving soil fertility and supporting sustainable agriculture. Jane actively participates in promoting cattle grazing and farming, sharing her knowledge and experience with others.
In addition to her daily farm work, Jane has been leading the Estonian Beef Cattle Breeders Association for three consecutive terms, representing and protecting the interests of beef cattle farmers. Her dedication and over ten years of experience in the field have earned her multiple national and industry awards, highlighting her significant contribution to the development and advancement of Estonian agriculture.
