Galina Kallio

Environmental social scientist

Galina Kallio is an environmental social scientist with a background in critical organization and management studies. She works at the University of Helsinki, Ruralia Institute. He work focuses on regenerative agriculture, farming livelihoods and multispecies landscape relations,. She has conducted ethnographic research among small-scale farmers and local food communities in Finland and other Nordic countries and in Australia. Kallio is a founding member of the Untame research collective and an active societal discussant. Beyond scholar-activism Kallio is a mother for two children, and a beginning forest gardener on a piece of land in South-Western Finland.
