Jaan Ahlberg

Jaan Ahlberg is a third-generation farmer on a family farm specialising in classical crop production, and has gained valuable experience since birth. Experimentation and the search for new solutions has been Jaan’s passion, which has led him over the past decade to consciously and unconsciously immerse himself in practices now known as regenerative agriculture. This journey has been full of challenges and unexpected results, but it is these situations that have provided invaluable lessons and helped shape his understanding of innovative solutions in agriculture.

Jaan’s daily work focuses on topics such as intercropping, systematic crop rotation, biological seed treatment, varietal mixtures, direct drilling, plant sap analysis, conscious fertilisation, plant protection and the reduction of synthetic fertilisers. He applies all these techniques on his 840 hectares of arable land on a daily basis. In addition, he shares his experience and knowledge with other farmers interested in adopting these techniques.
